Susan Daly Obituary
Susan M. Daly, "Sue", 80, of Toledo departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, August 19, 2024, one day before her 81st birthday. Sue retired in 2003 from Owens Corning and thoroughly enjoyed the next 21 years of her retirement. She lived life with energy and enjoyment. She loved engaging in conversations with everyone on any topic, with politics being one of her favorites. She loved puttering in her yard and gardens and generally loved being outdoors. Her other great passion was her love for her 4-legged friends, particularly her dogs and cats. Big and small, Sue loved animals and the animals all loved her. Sue was the kind of person that would stop everything to help someone in need and was a great friend. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Dorothy and father, Nicholas Daly.
Friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave., where a brief service will begin at 12:00 p.m.. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sue's memory to Maumee Valley Save-A-Pet (5250 Hill Ave, Toledo 43615), Humane Ohio (3948 W. Alexis Rd, Toledo 43623), or The Healing Barn (27731 Bradner Rd, Millbury, OH 43447, www.thehealingbarn.org).

Sue, I was so sorry to hear about your passing. I only met you one time at the Golden Coral for an Easter dinner. But we talked on the phone once in a while. I will never forget the time that you called Maumee Save A Pet and told them I could not afford to have my fur baby's teeth pulled and they paid for it. I will be eternally grateful for your help. You were definitely a very special person. Especially to Carmen. May you rest in peace.
