Ted was my trumpet teacher who was always patient and understanding with me. We will all miss him and the legacy that he left in the Toledo area. I know he is up in heaven playing the "Little Train" Polka! God be with his family during this time of sorrow!

Uncle Ted's zest for life whether playing trumpet, softball with brothers for post 18, even card games at our scott park house is what I remember. He was a family leader & will be missed.

Mr.Knapik was the real deal. His obituary could have filled a entire page. People come and go in your life but Mr.Knapik has left a lasting impression many of his fellow musicians and his students. He was responsible for creating many fine trumpet players and by sharing his talent he created a legacy not only for himself but for many generations to come. I'm 64 years old and he's still Mr. Knapik to me. He was a man that I respected all of my life. Like my mom always said "respect you have to earn" and that he did. May you rest in peace. Tim

Christina, Valerie & Jenifer My Deepest and Sincere Sympathy'. Ted was more than a Friend to my Parents he was family. Since early childhood I can recall "Uncle Ted"not only for his Wit and Charm but as a Talented Trumpeter who got us all Jumpin' to the Polka Rhythm. I Pray God he's Up there Now in Heaven playing for The Big Guy, Tootin' his Horn along side Gabriel and his buddy Buzzy laying down the Polka Beat for the Ages! God Bless You Ted!
