I've been reflecting over the past few days on the impact that Tom had on me and my career, and thought it might be worth sharing. I started working with Tom at O-I in 1999 as an intern; he was one of the first supervisors that I had. I learned how to be a professional software engineer from Tom, from the importance of version control to working in a team environment. His impact on me has been immeasurable and I will always be grateful for the lessons that he taught. At O-I, Tom will be best remembered for his contribution to inspections, but every day, in several dozen locations around the globe, bottles are formed on machines that use controls that Tom worked on, are inspected by machines that use algorithms that Tom worked on, and finally tabulated by a system that (you guessed it!) Tom worked on. Throughout all this work, his love of God and his family were always evident. My deepest condolences to his family for their tremendous loss.
You remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Carol and Family,
I'm so very sorry for your loss. We are never prepared for these life events, but the support of family and friends makes them a little more bearable. You will surely be comforted over time by the many happy years and memories you shared. May your faith help you through the difficult days ahead.
Love, Aunt Janey

Carol and family...We can't even begin to express the sadness we feel for your loss. We have such fond memories of Tom at FTCC small group and I personally remember when you were at our home for a cookout probably a year or two ago and I had a chance to sit with Tom on our swing and have him tell me all about his passion for his job and even working at home. Sweet memories for sure!He will be greatly missed!
Love and prayers...Mike and MaryJo Atherine

A life long friend who will be missed. We grew up together, laughed together, got in trouble together, spent many good times together. Rest in peace my friend.
