Thomas PAGE Obituary

PAGE Thomas Henry Thomas Henry Page, 56, of Ottawa Hills, passed away suddenly December 31, 2011, of complications from chemo. Tom will be remembered for his shock of white hair, his beautiful blue eyes, his general happy demeanor, and his infectious laughter. He was a loyal friend of many, especially to his wife, Kathy of 33 years. His proudest moment was walking his daughter, Kristin; down the aisle in October as she married her best friend, Aaron Longacre. Tom was semi-retired and recently began consulting to Ohio colleges and universities. Over the years he served as a CPA for several Toledo firms, NAMSA, and The University of Toledo. He was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School, Bowling Green State University, and The University of Toledo. He was an avid collector of memorabilia from his family's business, the Page Dairy, which closed in 1975, and was the keeper of stories from the family's many years in Toledo and Ottawa Hills. He was the son of the late Ann and Arnold Page, and is survived by his brother, Arnold (Felicia); his sister, Debby (Michael Schaeffer), his sister, Susan Culver (Randal); his beloved dog, Lili; as well as many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 6, 2012, at Hope Lutheran Church, 2201 Secor Road, Ottawa Hills. Burial at the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery will be private. The Page family has been a part of our life for a long time. My Aunt, Harriet McHugh was secretary to Arnold Page for many years. I visited the "office" a few times, and my sister Ann worked a summer in the ice cream bar line. Our prayers are with the family of Thomas Henry Page.

Kathy,
This is such sad news. Although I only knew Tom for a short time while I was at UT. He made a lasting impression on me with his work ethic, his knowledge, but most of all his love of life. I considered him a colleague and a friend. I was blessed to have known him. He will always have a place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I wish I would be able to make it down for the service. Tom Biggs

To all the Pages, Tom was a good friend, a good man, I know a good husband and father. Everything that a quality person should want to be. I was friends of Tom's for over 40 years and the only time we disagreed was when I needed to quit the OHHS wrestling team to get my car rebuilt. Rest in Peace Tom,,,
