Thomas E.
Thomas E. Redrup, age 75, of Indian River, MI and formerly of Toledo, passed away September 19, 2015, at John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan. Tom was born December 8, 1939, in Toledo to Harold and Virginia (Burton) Redrup. Upon graduation from DeVilbiss High School, Tom served his country honorably in the U.S. Army. He and his wife owned Discount Auto Mart in Toledo for many years. Thomas was a member of Wolverine Baptist Church.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Larry Redrup. Tom is survived by his loving wife, Georgetta (Skaggs) Redrup; his children, Chris (Hanna) Redrup and their son, Liam, Tommy Redrup, Michael Redrup, Tracy Holt, Casey (Brian) Smith, Carrie Young, Candy Smith, and Mike (Ruth) Smith; grandchildren, Alyssa, Lindsey, Victoria, Hunter, Mike, Madison, Adam, Violet, Jayden, and Jessica; brother, Gary (Sally) Redrup; nephews, Steve, Gary, and Paul; nieces, Debbie and Jennifer.
The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road, 419-473-0300 on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will start at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Wegener officiating. His interment will follow in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Wolverine Baptist Church, 6020 W. Main Street, Wolverine, MI 49799.
