Trinidad Celestino Obituary

Trinidad Celestino Jr.

Trinidad Celestino Jr. passed away October 23, 2025, at The Toledo Hospital. He was born April 8, 1949, in Alice, Texas, and moved to Toledo in the mid 50's. He worked at the ship yard as a welder before being medically retired. He volunteered as a coach, teachers aid, and a lunch/recess monitor while his kids were in grade school/high school. Trinidad enjoyed hunting, fishing, The Detroit Lions, poker, crossword and bingo scratch off tickets, coloring books, and watching movies on "The Flix."

Trinidad was preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Antonia (Florez) Celestino; brothers, John, Gilbert, Joe; sister, Presceliana; niece, Carmen; nephew, John; and wife, Lois. He is survived by his sister, Carmen Lopez; brother, Henry; children, Helena, Trinidad III, Enrique, Antonia (Courtney), Rosa; and a slew of nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews

The family would like to give a special mention to all of the people at Fresenius Kidney Care on Central Avenue, where he was a patient for the last 23 years.

Friends are invited to visit from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated 10:30 a.m., Monday, at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, with Rev. Dave Nuss officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Cemetery.
