Velma FRONTINE Obituary

FRONTINE Velma Velma Frontine, age 87, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Sylvania Care and Rehab. The daughter of Rose and Albert Frontine, she was born in Beaver Falls, PA on August 26, 1923, her twin sister passed away shortly after birth December 2, 1923. Velma attended a two year course at Owosso Bible College in Owosso, MI early in life. She graduated as a L.P.N. and worked at Riverside Hospital for more than 25 years. Velma, a member of Douglas Road Wesleyan Church, was very faithful to God all her life holding various jobs in the church. One of her greatest joys was attending Portage Holiness Camp every August. Velma liked being up to date with the latest medical technology. She enjoyed riding her bike and spending time near the water. Velma's favorite dog "Jud" was about as big she was. Velma is survived by her sister, Delma Liljequist of Temperance, MI; brother, Dante Frontine of Indianapolis, IN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marie Celabrese and twin sister. Friends and family may visit at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., (west of Corey Rd.) on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin on Thursday at 2 p.m followed by interment at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to Douglas Rd. Wesleyan Church, 4865 Douglas Rd., Toledo, OH 43623. Condolences may be shared on our website at: www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
