Vera A. Lang

LANG Vera A. Vera A. Lang, age 72, of Toledo, Ohio, died Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Swanpointe Care Center in Holland surrounded by her loving family. She was born in West Virginia on July 19, 1933, to John and Exie (Hendricks) Mills. She retired in 1994 from Libbey Glass where she worked in quality control. Vera was a member of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Marie Ann (Michael) Beach, David (Sheila) Adkins, Nancy D. (Dean) Mortimer, James (Michelle) Hammons and Georgie Ann (Charles) Seel; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Bob) Fey. Vera was preceded in death by her former husbands, Clinton Adkins, Francis Hammons Sr. and John Lang. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Joe and Greg Adkins; brother, Basil Mills, as well as her sisters, Lula, Nina and Mildred. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 2-9 p.m. in Neville Funeral Home at Reynolds Corners, 5052 Dorr Street, Toledo (419-535-0951) where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Mittelstadt, officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
