Vicki L.
Vicki L. Simrell, 61, of Toledo, died January 26, 2016, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio (Detroit Ave.), after a long battle with COPD.
She was born September 10, 1954, in Toledo, to James and Erma (Jacobs) Simrell.
A graduate of Whitmer High School, Vicki worked for Merrill Lynch, Edward Jones and Century 21 of Ohio.
Many memorable moments in Vicki's life were spending time with her niece, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She enjoyed showing others pictures of the kids.
She was preceded in death by her parents and twin brother, Keith W. Simrell.
Surviving are an uncle, Kenneth Jacobs; sister-in-law, Connie Simrell (Daniel Nocleg); niece, Angela (Eric) Kemp; nephews, Scott (Melissa) Clay and Benjamin (Melissa) Clay; 2 great-nieces; 6 great-nephews and numerous cousins.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Service at Toledo Memorial Park on Saturday, April 30, 2016, at 11 a.m. Graveside inurnment will follow.
Vicki's family would like to thank the Staffs at Sunset Village and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassionate care she received.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sunset Village, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Mobile Meals of Toledo. As published in The Blade

Vicki and I were grade school friends. We were in Girl Scouts together. Keith was so proud of her accomplishments ten years out of high school. I have no doubt she was a lovely person. I'm truly sorry for the family and friends loss.

Vicki and I went to Whitmer together. We even worked together at American States Insurance, our first job out of high school. She was always an impeccable dresser, her hair and nails done and she had very impressive manners. I learned a lot from her! She was taken way too soon! I will always remember her fondly.

Vicki and i worked together at Century 21 and Cavalear. We had great times, laughter and friendship. She was a wonderful person and loved her family very much. RIP my friend.

I worked with Vicki at Edward Jones and used to visit her office often to share in our work and friendship. She was very proud of her nieces and nephews, and enjoyed talking about her experiences with them. May your wonderful memories of her comfort you at this time.
