Virginia Calkins Obituary

CALKINS Virginia Virginia Calkins, age 84, died Monday, June 23, 2008, in The Concord Care Center of Toledo where she had resided for the past two years. Born in VanWert, Ohio, the daughter of George and Rose Shaw Stuck, she married Harry V. Calkins of Toledo, OH, who preceded her in death in 1969. She was employed in the Downtown Toledo office of Owens-Illinois for 12 years. Also preceding her were her sister, Betty Chapman and brother, Frank Stuck. Surviving are her son, Harry V. "Bud" Calkins Jr.; daughter, Laurie (Lucky) Morris of Bowling Green, OH; sisters, Georgia Lang, Bonnie Becker, and Mary Dalton; brother, John Stuck; also 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call Friday, June 27, 2008 beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Thomas I. Wisniewski Funeral Home, 2426 North Reynolds Rd. (between Central and Bancroft) followed by services at 1:00 p.m. Interment Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorial tributes suggested in the form of contributions for use at the discretion of the family.
