Wesley Schaarschmidt Obituary
October 14, 1964 - March 21, 2022
Wesley Joseph Schaarschmidt passed away Sunday at Toledo Hospital following a short illness. He was 57.
Wes graduated from Start High School in 1982 where he sang in the Royal Choir and worked on the musicals. He attended Univeristy of Toledo and graduated with an Associate Degree from RETS School of Technology (now Davis College) and worked in the audio/visual industry in the Toledo area. Wes was an avid gamer and hobbyist where he was active in UT BASHcon and model railroad clubs. He was considered an artist constructing scenery and accessories for games and model railroads.
Wes was born October 14,1964 to Harold Schaarschmidt and Charlene Harrison (nee Rahm) who predeceased him. Wes is survived by his sister, Jill (Jay) Nussel of Linden, Michigan and Hal Schaarschmidt of Perrysburg, Ohio. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at the Chapel of Peace in Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio. Inurnment will immediately follow.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Life Connection of Ohio.
