I spent many a day and even some nights sailing with Mitch on Lake Erie and Lake Huron. It was a true joy to sit on the rail of a sailboat next to him and listen to the stories of his years playing hockey. He was a real gentleman and I will always remember that mischevious little smile that he often displayed. Mitch loved to win but was always gracious in defeat. A true sportsman.

Mitch was a great family man and I am proud to have known him. He was my father-in-law for many years and my children's grandfather. We love him and will miss him deeply. He told me he would always consider us family and for that I am deeply greatful. I spent my enjoyable hours with Mitch shopping, hockey and his love sailing. Jim, Sandy and Chic I'm sorry sorry for your loss and you are all in my prayers.

We are sorry to hear about the loss of Mitch. He was a very inspirational man to Pete, for introducing him to hockey at an early age. His passion for the game has stayed with him all these years. It was great to see him at the hockey reunion last October. He was a close friend to the family, and we offer condolences to Sandy, Jim, and Chik and families. Prayers, Pete and Cindi Olms

I am so sorry to hear about Mitch's passing (I only knew him as Mitch). I met him and Marge through dog walking and got to know Mitch pretty well. I always admired his woodworking as he would show me his projects when I walked by. He was a wonderful person and will be missed by his neighbors.
