Alfred Arnold Hargrave

1943 - 2024

Alfred Arnold Hargrave passed away peacefully on June 30, 2024, at the age of 80, in Conroe, Texas. He was born on December 5, 1943, in Cypress, Texas. Al was loved deeply by so many people. He never met a stranger.

Al grew up in Tomball and maintained many friendships from his days in school there. Alfred was a Sergeant in the Army and worked in Top Secret Crypto Communications in the Intelligence department in the Army security agency from 1962-1965. He did his training at Fort Gordon, Ga. Al served overseas in Asmara, Ethiopia, for 18 months and then finished his service in Petaluma, Calif. Al was then employed by N.A.S.A. in their Communications department, his efforts were predominately from a ship in the middle of the ocean.

As we reflect on his life, we are reminded of his caring, thoughtful nature, and how well he loved the people in his life. We take comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched. Al will be deeply missed.

Funeral arrangements are as follows: Saturday, July 27, at 10 a.m., Perry Cemetery, 10477 Grant Rd., Houston, Texas 77070. Celebration of Life to follow at 11:30 a.m.: District 249 Bar and Grill, 23238 Highway 249, Tomball, Texas 77375.
