- Giulio Perfili 1943-2025 Murray, UT - Giulio Perfili passed away on September 9, 2025, at his home that he built in Murray, Utah. He was 82 years old. Born February 10, 1943, in Castro Dei Volsci, Italy to Romolo Perfili and Marta De Giuli. Married Phyllis Phillips on February 19, 1967, in Castro Dei Volsci, Italy.

Dad enjoyed spending time with his family. He never missed a family dinner, fishing or his 3-week hunting trip every year. You could always catch him at volleyball or softball games supporting his granddaughters. Dad also enjoyed going to Fashion Place Mall every morning and walking then bullsh*ting with his buddies for hours. He also discovered the Murray Senior Center where he started doing YOGA, eating lunch and especially loved to go "Two Scoot Boogie" with Allene. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed golfing with his Thursday friend or anyone that wanted to go. Dad was always up for anything.

Giulio worked for Kennecott Utah Copper for 35 years where he worked as a truck driver and shovel engineer. Dad was known to all of his Kennecott friends as "Two Scoop". In 1984 when Kennecott had laid him off, he supported his family by doing stone mason work. His work was known by many. Dad retired from Kennecott December 1, 2000.

Dad was always willing to help family, friends and anyone who needed help with anything. Anyone that knew him knew how talented he was, especially with his woodworking. His home was a testament to that.

He is survived by his son Mario (Jenny) and daughter Michelle Lundeen (Brandon). Grand children Paige Bergener (Kyle), Brooklyn Perfili and Kaylee Lundeen. Great grandson Ace Kyle Bergener. Step grandchildren Savanna Hoopiiaina (Makayla), Caity Hoopiiaina, Dylan Hoopiiaina and Justin Bonner (Krystilina). Step great grandson Niko Hoopiiaina and many nieces and nephews in Castro Dei Volsci, Italy. Giulio is preceded in death by his wife Phyllis, her parents John & Pauline Phillips, his parents Romolo Perfili and Marta De Giuli, sister Angela Perfili, brothers Mario, Emilio and Pietro Perfili.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Allene Russell for her companionship and love over the past six years. Together, they enjoyed trips, laughter, and countless memories.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. at St. Vincent's Catholic Church located at 1375 Spring Lane, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 18th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Jenkin-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah. On day of funeral from 11:30 - 12:15 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

After the service, the family invites all friends and loved ones to gather at Giulio's home to celebrate his life and honor this great man.

Interment services will follow at Murray City Cemetery.
