Brian T. McLaughlin PENNINGTON Brian T. McLaughlin, age 58, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Pennington, NJ. Born in Montclair, New Jersey, he was a resident of Pennington for 23 years. Brian was a graduate of William Patterson University in Wayne. Over the course of his career, he worked in marketing and advertising sales, most notably as an Account Manager for the New York Times and New England Advertising Manager at USA Today. During the years spent working the New England territory, Brian and his family became devoted fans of the Boston Red Sox. In 2017, Brian became a small business owner, and with his wife, was co-owner of The Lash Lounge Princeton Marketfair. Brian enjoyed biking, camping, hunting, and nearly every kind of outdoor activity. And with his sons, he was an active member of the Boy Scouts as an Assistant Troop Leader in Pennington, for Troop 41. The highlight of his scouting experience was when he accompanied his oldest son on a backpacking trek at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Joan (Hofbauer) McLaughlin. Brian is survived by his wife of 24 years, Laura Fecile McLaughlin, and sons, Thomas John and James Patrick. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at the Wilson Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Rd., Pennington, NJ 08534. A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, July 30, 2021, at St. James Catholic Church, 115 E Delaware Ave, Pennington, NJ 08534. My very deepest condolences to Brian's family and friends. When I think of him, I immediately hear his USA Today outgoing message at "the Nation's #1 Newspaper" fondly in my mind. He will be remembered. He will be missed.
