Concetta Secretario Obituary

Concetta “Connie” Longo Secretario, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, August 16, 2021. Connie was born in Trenton, NJ and resided for the last 47 years in Hamilton. She worked for B&L Sportswear prior to raising her beautiful family. A loving mother and homemaker, Connie was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family especially during the holidays. She also loved to watch TV game shows and soap operas. She especially loved playing the card game 31 with her cousins. Connie was an avid and loyal Yankees and Eagles sports fan. Connie will be remembered for her love of family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored her. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Rose Maria Garzillo Longo and Frank Longo; her stepmother, Mary Ciccatiello Longo Lacken; and her infant sister, Mary Theresa Longo. A true love story, Connie met the love of her life, Sam, in 1949 when they were both 15 year old teenagers in love. Together for 72 years and married for 67 years, Connie is survived by her devoted husband, Sam “Sec” Secretario; her beloved daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jim Lombardo, Janet and John Klein III; her grandchildren, Dana and Joe Franzone, Samantha and Robert Reina, John J. Klein IV and fiancée, Raiany, Jenna and Jason Davila, Kristen Klein and fiancé, Peter, Nicholas Lombardo and fiancée, Tifannie and Emelei Klein; her great­grandchildren, Joseph, Luciana, Anthony and Francesca Franzone, Gabriella, Salvatore, and Dominick Reina and Aubrey Davila; and her many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins and life-long friends. A Public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at St. James RC Church, 29 East Paul Ave., Trenton, NJ Due to the current circumstances and the Secretario Family’s concern for everyone’s wellbeing, the family requests masks be worn by all attendees at the mass honoring Connie. Private entombment will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery Mausoleum in Hamilton, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Connie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by visiting In Memory Of at inmemof.org. Sam and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We will miss her sweet face and her laughter. Connie was such a good soul and will always be a part of our lives.
