Deacon David Eugene "Pops" Bridgeforth Sr.

Deacon David Eugene Bridgeforth Sr. "POPS," age 72, took his rightful place with the Lord on September 6, 2016 peacefully at home.
He was born in Pittsburgh, Pa and had been a resident of Trenton, NJ for over 35 years.
David retired from the City of Trenton Sewer Department where he held the title of Supervisor. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the New Brother Hood, MC of Pittsburgh, PA, as well as the Cycle Kings of Trenton. He was a devoted member of Friendship Baptist Church for many years where he served as a Deacon, as well as the Never Alone Ministries, Golden Community Ministries and the Twenty One Plus Ministries.
He is preceded in death by his parents Russell and Alice Bridgeforth, a brother Russell Jr, a grandson Michael Newkirk and his beloved wife Marlene Bridgeforth.
He leaves to cherish his memories, sons, David Jr (Nichele), Mark (Diana) Russell; daughters Sheena (David), Shari (Kendall), Aisha (Nadhir), Tiffany (Michael); grandsons Treshon, Rayshawn B., Thomas Jr, Joseph (Aisa) Marcques (Marilyn) Markeese, Wade, Terrance, Marcell (Amy) Breyon, Rayshawn F., Courvoisier; granddaughters, Rajihnae, Natequa, Jasmine, Tarogih, Juwayriyah, Maniya, Marjai, Lashawn, Tashawn, Dontreal, Kenya (Robert), Porche (Armando) Cashmere, and China. A host of relatives and friends and a very special friend, Barbara Peoples.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday September 14, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church, 111 Perry Street, Trenton, NJ. Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. Entombment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ.
