Ernie was a good man who will be remembered for his good deeds. It was a pleasure to know him in his official capacity as police officer and then Chief. But especially it was great to know him personally. May you be comforted and may Ernie rest in peace. We both send our sympathy. Betty Holland and Dan George

Every morning I'd keep an eye on the slender older man on the treadmill just in case he worked up too much of a sweat. I didn't know who that man was til last week. Turns out that man was a great leader and not just a motivator at the gym. My condolences to his family and friends.

To Ernie's Family:
It is with sadness that I read of my old classmates passing. We were friends and classmates at Trenton High, that continued on through our careeres with the City of Trenton.
He was a good friend, and a good cop.
May he now rest in a painless peace he so richly deserves.

My deepest sympathy in the loss of Ernie. What a tribute to the Trenton Police Force; he gave all for God and Country. It was always a pleasure to be in Ernie's company; he always made you feel good and laugh at things. I am so glad that I got to see him and hug several weeks ago; it will be a lasting memory for me of this 'great man'. May he rest in peace in Post Everlasting. May the Good Lord give you strength and courage to carry on in the days ahead without Ernie. God Bless You All.
