Helen Estgen Obituary

LITTLE EGG HARBOR - Helen "Darlene" Estgen, 69, of Little Egg Harbor Township, passed away at home with her daughters at her side on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012. Born in Trenton, Darlene resided in the Ewing and Hopewell area for most of her life before moving to Little Egg Harbor Township two months ago. She was the co-owner of the Parkway Auto Body with her late husband, Fred, for 43 years. Darlene and Fred enjoyed traveling together and going on trips to Atlantic City. She loved to read, bowl, and do puzzles but she especially loved to spend time with her daughters and grandchildren.
Daughter of the late Truman Robert and Helen Marie (Dickey) Angel, beloved wife of the late Fred Jack Estgen, sister-in-law of the late Mary Estgen, she is survived by her two daughters, Kim and her husband Stan Janiszewski, Dawn Arcamone and her fiancé Jim Falzini; three grandchildren, Melissa Birchenough, Amanda Arcamone and Stanley Janiszewski Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Andrionna Birchenough; two brothers, Robert Angel and wife Donna, Gerald Angel and fiancée Nancy; a brother-in-law, William Estgen; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends. The family would like to express a special thanks to her caregivers, Durodola "Dee Dee" Shogaolu, and Jackie Jenkins, and to the staff of Greenwood Hospice and Holy Redeemer Hospice.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday Feb. 14, 2012, at Incarnation Church, 1545 Pennington Road, Ewing. Burial will follow in the Harbourton Cemetery, 1516 Harbourton-Rocktown Road, Lambertville. Friends and family may call on Monday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association Greater NJ Chapter, 196 Princeton-Hightstown Rd., Bldg. 2, Suite 11, Princeton Jct., NJ 08550 or to the March of Dimes for Cerebral Palsy, 1275 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains, NY 10605 Attn: DRFR.

Kim, Dawn and family,,,I am lost for words to express my sincerest condolences. Your Mom was such a special friend to me and wonderful Godmother to my daughter. Your mom always made everyone feel as if they are a part of her family. She will be missed but the memories live on and will heal. My prayers to you all. Love, Monica
