James Thompson Jr.

James Thompson Jr., 23 of Bunn, NC gained his wings on May 28, 2021. James was born in Trenton, NJ and lived in Bunn, NC since 2016. He attended Trenton Public Schools. James loved comics and hoped to one day create his own comic hero that he referred to as “Lion Man.” He spent much of his time listening to and singing to the lyrics of Kanye West and CeeLo Green. He enjoyed electronics and loved watching movies. James had a great sense of humor. He was both talkative and easy-going and able to bring a smile to everyone’s face. James displayed great courage and strength daily. For this, he was a source of tremendous inspiration. James was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Reginald Thompson and Johnny Rue; grandmother, Marlene Hill; uncles, Eric Rue and Johnny Rue, Jr. and an aunt, Donyell Thompson. James is survived by his parents, Lisa Rue Thompson and James Thompson; three sisters, Tayanna Washington, Brittany Thompson and Amani Thompson; two brothers, Elijah Webber and Ahmad Thompson; grandmother, Joan Thompson; and many aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, June 9, 2021 (TODAY) at 10am at Campbell Funeral Chapel, 1225 Calhoun St., Trenton, NJ.
