John Kozak

John Kozak MERCERVILLE - John Kozak, 83, of Mercerville, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Throop, Pennsylvania, Mr. Kozak lived in Mercerville for over 50 years. Mr. Kozak was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Congoleum Flooring, formerly Amtico Flooring, for 45 years. An athlete in his youth, Mr. Kozak continued to be an avid sports fan that enjoyed soccer, baseball and hockey. In particular, he was an extremely passionate fan of the Detroit Tigers. Years ago, he coached his sons' baseball teams. Mr. Kozak enjoyed spending his time bowling, playing Yahtzee, completing crossword puzzles, caring for his koi pond, gardening and cooking. Predeceased by his parents, Alexander and Mary Kozak; his wife, Dolores (Twarkusky); his siblings, Mary, Harry, Victor, Joseph and Alexander; and his daughter-in-law, Glenna Benson Kozak; Mr. Kozak is survived by his children and their spouses, John "Jack" Kozak, Sue and Dan Buckley, Dave and Chris (Pointon) Kozak, and Sandy and Jim Goodwin; his grandchildren, Bri and her husband Marty Stitler, Melanie Kozak, Danny, Amanda, Lyndsey, Rachel and Kim Buckley, Kayla Kozak and Marisa and Kelli Goodwin; his great grandchildren; his two sisters, Olga Yuhas and Barbara Bove; and his many nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Final resting place will follow at Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville, NJ Join the family in wishing him peace on Friday, August 15, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
