Oleg Gordienko Obituary

HAMILTON - Oleg Gordienko, 79, of Hamilton Township, fell asleep in the Lord on Monday at Compassionate Care Hospice.
Born in Smolynka, Russia, Mr. Giordienko came to the United States in 1951 and had been a Trenton and Yardville resident since 1964. He retired after 20 years service with the Acme Hamilton Rubber Co. of Hamilton Township. Oleg enjoyed helping his sons with many household projects as well as tending to his dogs, Barney and D.O.G. Most of all Oleg was a good and caring father and grandfather.
Son of the late Andrey and Domna Gordienko, and brother of the late Ann Shevchenko, he is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Feodora Botcharoff Gordienko; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Victor and Jennifer Gordienko of Yardville and Serge Gordienko of Hamilton Township; two grandchildren, Jessica A. Gordienko and Nicholas J. Gordienko both of Yardville; his niece, Nancy and husband Michael Haluska of Bordentown Township; his Honorary Son, Rick Ricketti of Williamstown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. at the Winowicz Funeral Home, Adeline and Beatty streets, with the Rev. Bishop Stefan Sabelnik officiating. Burial will be in St. Vladimir's Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 316 Cassville Road, Jackson. Calling hours are from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Panachyda services being conducted at 7 p.m.
