Stephen Meiczinger Obituary

Stephen Joseph Meiczinger Stephen Joseph Meiczinger, 79, of Hamilton Sq., NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec 1, 2021, at his apartment in Blue Bell, PA, where his loving daughter, Stephenie Meiczinger and his loving granddaughter, Emma Meiczinger have been caring for him. Born in Bankanypoloske, Hungary, he came to the US with his family as a young boy to fulfill their American dream. He attended Princeton High School where he went to the county finals with the soccer team and graduated in 1961. Stephen went on to complete coursework at Rutgers University prior to serving our country in the US Army from 1963-1966. Stephen had an amazing work ethic and is the true definition of a hard worker. He was employed as a crane worker with US Steel for 30 years and went on to work for Hamilton Township Board of Education for 25 years. Stephen deeply loved his family and has always gone above and beyond to provide for his loved ones. Stephen always had deep faith in God. He was a longtime member of Our Lady of Sorrow Church and for the past 23 years of St Mark United Methodist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, taking road trips with the family and going to Atlantic City. His other hobbies were playing cards, skiing in the Poconos, swimming, watching football and baseball, playing the organ, planting flowers and a vegetable garden. Every year family and friends looked forward to his amazing homemade spaghetti meat sauce that he would make with the fresh Jersey tomatoes from his garden. Stephen is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Joseph Meiczinger and the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Isabel Meiczinger. Stephen was a long time resident of Hamilton Square, NJ, for 42 years where he raised their children and granddaughter, Emma Meiczinger. His home was known as the place for family and friends to gather. From Thanksgiving to Christmas, birthdays to BBQs, pool parties and more. It was where you came for good times, good food and lots of laughs. Stephen is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Stamm; his daughter, Stephenie Meiczinger; his sons, George J. Adamski Jr and his wife, Caryl, John S. Adamski and Robert P. Adamski; his daughter, Donna Lee Saavedra and her husband, Donald; his endeared and loving granddaughter, Emma Meiczinger; his grandsons, Matthew Adamski, George Adamski III, Michael Annecchini, AJ, Ricardo and Zachary Saavedra; 6 great grandchildren; and his many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family in the US, Germany, Hungary, Canada and Newfoundland. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Remembrance Gathering will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 2:30 p.m. at St. Mark United Methodist Church, 465 Paxson Ave. Hamilton, NJ. Following the funeral service, there will be a life celebration of Stephen at a local restaurant. Location TBD and will be posted on Saul Colonial Home’s website. Cremation services will be private under the direction of Saul Colonial Home. The Meiczinger family strongly suggests that masks be worn at the visitation and funeral services honoring Stephen.
