Beatrice Cooper Obituary

Beatrice A. Cooper, 86, of Grampian passed away Monday, February 12, 2024, at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Born on March 22, 1937, in Renovo, she was the daughter of Francis A. and Beatrice I. (Moore) Cohick. She served as Tax Collector of Bloom Township for over 35 years.

She was the last member of her generation.

On July 2, 1955, in Renovo, PA, she wed Carl W. Cooper, who preceded her in death on January 17, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother, David F. Cohick, an infant sister, Joan M. Cohick, a daughter, Carlene Ann Cooper, and a son, Charles Francis Cooper.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan Pentz (Keith) of Chestnut Grove, Grampian; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, with Pastor Paul Sheets officiating. Interment will be held in the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salem United Methodist Church, PO Box 282, DuBois, PA 15801.
