Fred C. Kriner

Fred C. Kriner, 83, of Luthersburg, passed away on December 20, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

He was born on July 14, 1942, in DuBois and was the son of the late Raymond and Gladys (Shaffer) Kriner.

On February 9, 1963, he married Etha (Jones) Kriner in Big Run. She preceded him on October 28, 2019.

Fred graduated from the DuBois Area High School. He was a graduate of Certified Auctioneer Institute, he enjoyed being an auctioneer, and he owned Kriner's Auction Service for 50 years.

He was a member and deacon at the West Liberty Baptist Church, was a charter and founding member of the Susquehanna Antique Machinery Association, where he has served as president and vice president, a member of the PA Auctioneers Association, where he has served in various positions and a member of the National Auctioneers Association.

Fred enjoyed hunting, collecting toy trains and trucks and going to flea markets and machinery shows.

His is survived by his loving family, Clair (Beckie) Kriner of DuBois, Annette Kriner of Punxsutawney and Susan Bundy of DuBois; his grandchildren, Philip (Heather) Kriner, Stephen (Beth) Kriner Stepanie Kriner and Drew Bundy; his great-grandchildren, Serenity and Oliver Kriner. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Family and friends will be received at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will take place also at Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium on January 3, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Phil Colgan officiating.

Interment will take place in the Salem Cemetery.
