Gus Neidrich Obituary

Gus William Neidrich Jr., 76, passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, at his home in Greece, N.Y.
Born Oct. 15, 1938, in Glen Richey, he was the son of the late Gus W. Sr. and Mary Ellen Mathers Neidrich.
Gus grew up in DuBois. He served in the Air Force from 1955-57 after which he moved to Rochester and worked for Gerber Baby Foods, Ragu and then for General Motors and Delphi when he retired in March 2001 with more than 20 years as an electrician.
He was a member of Holy Cross Church, Clio Lodge #779, UAW #1097 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed NASCAR, Corvettes and taking long walks.
Gus is survived by a son, Gus W. III and his wife, Sarah; two brothers, James and his wife, Judy; William and his wife, Cindy; two sisters, JoAnn Zimmerman and Kathleen Lovenduski and her husband, Joseph; many nieces and nephews; his longtime close friend, Patricia Eddy; his loving caregiver for the last five years, Georgia Bostwick; and many other family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Catherine MacMaster; and a brother, Edward L. Neidrich.
Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 15, at the Thomas E. Burger Funeral Home, 735 East Ave., Hilton. There will be a Masonic Service in the evening. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at the funeral home with the Rev. Fr. John Reif presiding. Burial will follow the funeral service at Parma Union Cemetery in Hilton with an Air Force Honor Guard Military Service.
In lieu of flowers, Gus requested that memorial donations be made to Clio Lodge #779 Building Fund, 287 East Ave., Hilton, NY 14468.
The family of Gus W. Neidrich Jr. wishes to thank the Visiting Nurse Hospice Service of Rochester and Monroe County for their support in his final days.

I am sorry to learn this sad news. Jim, Judy, Georgia & Carlos I know you definitely have made the last several years good for Gus: giving him excel- lent care and showing him much com-passion, and may God bless each of you for that. Even Blackie brought him as much love & comfort as possible by sleeping right by his side since the Summer. Now, may Gus truly rest in peace with the Lord.
