Mr. Martz was an absolute gentleman and stand-up man who instilled in me and a bunch of us wild kids with lessons that went far beyond the 7th grade basketball court and served us well in life up until this day. I have nothing but the utmost respect for him and I am saddened to hear of his passing and his family's loss. The world has lost a great person, but heaven has gained a great soul.

It saddens me to read about his passing. He was my midget football coach around 1980, and taught me a lot about playing the defensive side of the ball. Our paths later crossed, as we both worked at Gillungs Drug Store (Mr Gillung would hire a high school athlete to help around the store whereas I followed Topper about 15 years later). The late Dick Gillung always talked fondly of Topper as his best employee. Later in life I gto learned and played some golf with Topper, and then I eventually coached his son in basketball. His children (also my friends) and everybody that knew Topper are in my thoughts today.

Donna and family, Thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Memories of Topper go way back to my early childhood. Many memories at our grandparents house in Brookville. He is at peace now and we will see him again. He will be greatly missed.

Topper,
You have been one of my all time best friends and golf Guru. We have had a lot of good adventures over the years. You have been a great competitor in every game that we played. I'm sure that if they are playing for quarters in heaven, you are certainly in the game.
I will miss you very much.

Topper you will be missed I enjoyed Golfing with and against you and we did have an enjoyable year in 2016 when we played against each other six out of seven weeks in a row. 2017 was not a good year for you; however, it was nice having you back with the Golf Nuts. I'm sure you will enjoy playing golf against the Lord. Remember to smile for God Loves You and the pain and health problems are gone. John Kruse
