John Camise Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the unexpected death of John Patrick "Tippy" Camise, Jr., 73, of DuBois, PA, who died Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at his home.

Born on July 10, 1951, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late John P. and Marilyn L. (Miller) Camise, Sr.

He was married to Sharon M. (Smeal) Camise. Meeting in the mid 80's, they formed an unbreakable bond that continued until the last day of his life.

Tippy worked over 40 years in highway construction and inspection, ending his career working alongside his son as an inspector for GAI Consultants.

Tippy was often found at the ballfield or the gymnasium following his son's and his granddaughter's many activities. He could always be counted on to lend assistance to any team they played for. Tip was often seen in his golf cart, preparing the field at Highland Street for Kenley's games. John was an avid wrestling fan and a member of the Penn State Nittany Lion Wrestling Club. He attended over 10 NCAA national championships in his life time. Tip was a life member of St. Bernerd Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek. His proudest accomplishment, however, was being a family man.

He is survived by his son, Dustin Camise and his wife Kayla and their daughter Kenley. They were the light of his life. Together, with Kenley he spent much time forming a bond that is deep in each of their hearts. They enjoyed countless hours of golf cart rides and watching You Tube at "the land." Kenley always referred to him as "my Pap." He is also survived by three sisters, Linda Prutzman and her husband Pete, Nancy Schaffer and her husband Andy, and Donna Harpool and her partner Scott Nestlerode, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. from The Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Parish at St. Bernard in Falls Creek with Fr. John Malthaner as celebrant.

Memorial donations may be made to the DuBois Little League, PO Box 71, DuBois, PA.
