Warren Reynolds Obituary

Warren Ross Reynolds, age 90, of Reynoldsville, Pa., passed away peacefully during the early morning hours of Saturday, April 28, 2018, as a resident of Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pa.
Warren was born on March 23, 1928, to the late George Ingalls and Laura Belle (Syphrit) Reynolds, in Reynoldsville. He graduated from the Reynoldsville High School with the class of 1946. Shortly after, he joined the United States Army and served a four-year term before his honorable discharge.
On April 21, 1957 he married Alwine (Klaiber) Reynolds in Punxsutawney, Pa. They were married for almost 52 years before she preceded him in passing in January of 2009.
Warren was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in DuBois, Pa., the American Legion in Reynoldsville, Pa., a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, the Reynoldsville Sportsman Club, and he sat on the committee to over see the Syphrit Cemetery Association.
Warren's ancestors were part of the founding family in Reynoldsville years ago. He was born in the family homestead on Route 322 and he spent his life dedicated to the town. He loved gardening vegetables, specifically tomatoes, and he had an interest in organic gardening. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting deer, turkey, and small game. He also loved trout fishing in the local rivers. Warren had a big interest and was outspoken about presidential politics; there was only one network that he would watch. He and Alwine enjoyed traveling together, mostly to see family. They would take drives through the countryside together and they enjoyed eating out.
Warren loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly. They have fond memories of his interaction in their lives and they remember the time spent together gathering firewood for winter, and then spending many nights together around the wood burning fire place in their home. He was always positive and uplifting, even through his final days. He also enjoyed his cats, Patches and Peppy, when he had them.
Warren is survived by three daughters, Inga (William) Kalgren of Florida, Linda Geer of Reynoldsville, Pa., Sandra (Todd) Caltagarone of St. Marys, Pa.; one brother, Kenneth (Klara) Reynolds; two grandsons, Chad Kalgren, Jeremy Geer; four granddaughters: Jessica Geer, Breanna Caltagarone, Chelsie Caltagarone, Katie Caltagarone; and four great-grandchildren: Zoe, Kyle, Ashton, and Mason.
In addition to his wife and parents, Warren is preceded in death by four brothers: David, Max, Darwin, George; four sisters: Ruth, Mae, Kathryn, Jospehine; twin infant sons; and one infant daughter.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, from 6 – 8 p.m., at the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service with full military honors will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2018, also at the funeral home, beginning at 11 a.m., and officiated by Pastor Kenneth Eddy. Interment will take place at the Syphrit Cemetery, Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., Pa.
