Janis Cummings Obituary

Janis "Sue" Cummings, born August 31, 1943, in Mexia, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 6, 2025, after a life filled with love, faith, and compassion.

Sue grew up in Casper, Wyoming, where she graduated from Natrona County High School. In 1963, she married Ryan Fulton whom she had known since grade school. Together they had three children: Trent, Treva, and Trisha, and resided in Laramie, Wyoming. Years later, Sue married Gary Cummings of Casper.

After moving from Laramie to Casper, Sue worked in advertising sales for TV, newspaper, and radio. With its fast pace, the live remotes, and the many unique personalities, radio was her favorite. Her warm personality, work ethic, and genuine care for people made her a natural success. She never met a stranger and was known for her ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. Her kindness, unmatched generosity, and willingness to help others in difficult times were hallmarks of her character.

Sue loved music, laughter, cars, and spending time with her family - especially her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids. She also had a lifelong affection for animals, and there was rarely a time she didn't have a dog or cat in her life.

Above all, Sue loved Jesus and lived each day with Him as her constant companion. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she shared it freely with those around her, including with a resident at the care center where she spent her last days. If she could leave one message to everyone reading this, it would be her heartfelt reminder:

"You are special. Jesus loves you more than you know. Would you please receive Him as your Savior and Lord?"

Sue's life was a beautiful example of faith in action - full of grace, humor, generosity, and steadfast love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her but forever remembered for the joy and light she brought into the world.

Sue is survived by her daughters Treva and Trisha (Mark Kraft), her grandchildren Abby Kowalski (Rob) of Orlando, Florida; John Kraft (Michala) and Isaac Kraft of Firestone, Colorado; and Sarah Duggins (Isaac) of Texas. She was also blessed with five great-grandchildren - Elizabeth Sue and Jace Kraft; Lane, Hudson, and Mazy Duggins. In her children and grandchildren, Sue found endless joy and laughter.

Sue was preceded in death by her father Forrest, her mother Jane, her husband Gary, and her brothers Don and Teddy, as well as her beloved son Trent. A celebration of Sue's life will be held Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Highland Park Community Church, 5725 Highland Dr., Casper, WY at 3:00 p.m. A reception, with food, will follow.
