Karen was born in Butte, Montana where she spent a good part of her childhood, later moving to Missoula, Montana where her parents added one more child to the mix for a total of 5 brothers and herself. Growing up with five brothers made her tough as nails. This is where she fell in love with horses and had her very own named Jill. She spent hours riding and competing in competitions.

The family ended up moving to Casper, Wyoming where she lived on and off for years!

Karen was usually always in male dominated positions as she was once a lineman/woman for the power company in Casper. Karen attended college at Casper College and went on to have a successful career working for the FAA. When she retired from the FAA, she started her own computer repair business and continued to work for years after.

Karen had a strong love for the military due to two of her older brothers serving. she was very patriotic and Rode with The Patriot Guard Motorcycle Club in Casper.

Karen enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grand kids and always lit up when talking about them! She also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds that were at her feeders daily. She could spend hours looking at the flowers that her kids planted and all the different birds that came for their daily meal.

While Karen struggled with many health challenges throughout the years, She found support in her family and loving partner Terry Bussey who moved with her to Winston, Oregon. Karen held strong thanks to her support but passed away peacefully in her sleep at home which is exactly how she wanted to go.

Karen is survived by her Daughter Jennifer Evans, Grandkids Wesley Coffel & (Harley Howard), Reilin O'Rourke, Shawn O'Rourke, Great Grand Kids Braxton & Nova. Son Robert & Marti Evans-Bigelow. Brother John Petley (Jeannie Hensley) & her Significant Other Terry Bussey.

Services will be held April 16th at 2 p.m. at Taylor's Funeral Home in Winston, Oregon. Celebration of life will follow at the VFW in Winston.
