Robert Harrison Nesbitt, 83, of Connellsville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, in Lint's Personal Care Home, Connellsville. He was born March 12, 1918, in Confluence, a son of the late William M. and Fannie Dull Nesbitt. Mr. Nesbitt was a lifelong resident of Connellsville and was a retired engineer for the B&O Railroad. He was a graduate of Connellsville High School and a member of King Solomon's Lodge #346 F&AM and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Engineers. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Church U.S.A. of Connellsville. He is survived by one brother, John W. Nesbitt and his wife, Lois, of Bath, N.Y.; one sister, Frances "Curl" Guzlas of St. Petersburg, Fla., and several nieces and nephews including, Dr. Thomas Hare of Uniontown and Sally Getty of Johnstown. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Frances A. Bowser Nesbitt and two sisters, Ruth Poole and Mary Jean Reshenberg. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, where services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark Juengel officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. King Solomon's Lodge #346 F&AM will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
