Shirley Bell Obituary

Shirley Lee Bell, 52, of Callaway, Fla., formerly of Connellsville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, in the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Panama City, Fla. She was born March 28, 1951, in Uniontown, a daughter of Jesse McElroy Sr. of Lemont Furnace and the late Doris Hawkins McElroy. She was a Catholic by faith and member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Dunbar. Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas P. Bell of Dunbar Township; three daughters, Christina M. Ober and her husband Gregg N. of Vanderbilt, Heather D. Martucci and her husband Vito III of Connellsville and Brandi J. Hutter and her husband Joseph S. of Columbia, Tenn.; a son, Joey Chidester of Callaway, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Brittany and Garrett Ober, Bret, Vito IV and Jaden Martucci, Aerial and Nicholas Hutter, and Joseph Chidester; a brother, Jesse McElroy Jr. of Connellsville; her stepmother, Helen McElroy of Lemont Furnace; and father-in-law, Thomas A. Bell of Dunbar Township. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her mother-in-law, Marie Bucci Bell of Dunbar Township. Friends will be received in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m., where a prayer service will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Edward McCulloch officiating. Interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park.
