Lucille Vrontos Obituary

Lucille Ann Vrontos, 81, of McKeesport, died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Born Sept. 28, 1930, in Port Vue, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Pastor Ranchik. A retired salesperson for JC Penney Co., she was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport, the Rosary Society and Confraternity of Christian Mothers and the Kitchen Ministries. She also volunteered at McKeesport Hospital and was a member of the Golden Key Club, the Elizabeth Township Seniors and Life Span. Surviving are her brother, James (Johanne) Ranchik, of Elizabeth Township; nephew, Mark (Joni) Ranchik, of Baldwin; niece, Marcia (John) Prokopovitch, of Fayette City; great-nephew, Kevin (Angie) Baumgartner. Also surviving are other great-nephews and a great-niece as well as her faithful companion, Princess. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O'Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Corpus Christi Church with the Rev. Stephen A. Kresak as celebrant. Everyone please meet at church. Interment in New St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1680 Fallen Timber Road, Elizabeth Township, PA 15037. www.jaycoxjaworski.com.
