Mary Simko Obituary

Mary "Bubba" Simko, 100, of Confluence, formerly of Lincoln Borough, died Saturday, June 21, 2014. She was born April 27, 1914, in Braddock, daughter of the late George and Mary (Thomas) Demko. She was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church in McKeesport. Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou O'Callaghan Warrington, of Manchester, Tenn., and Dolores (Mike) Dugan, of Confluence; a son, George M. (Mary Lou) Simko, of Elizabeth Township; daughter-in-law, Glenna Simko, of Ohio; 25 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Simco; and two sons, John Simko Jr. and Ronald E. Simko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2014, at the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, 221 North Second Ave., Elizabeth, PA 15037, 412-384-4344, with Panachida to be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 12 noon Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, with Father Donald D. Voss officiating. Private burial will be in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 410 Sixth Ave., McKeesport, PA 15132. Offer condolences at http://www.bekavacfuneralhome.com.
