Frederick J. Borga, 92, of Murrysville, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at his home. He was born April 4, 1920, in Russellton, a son of the late Alberto and Caroline Berardo Borga. He was a retired owner of many coin operated laundries and a veteran of World War II, serving with the Army. He loved to play golf and play bridge and he volunteered for many years at the Friend's Thrift Shop in Export. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Borga. Fred is survived by his wife, Helen McMillin Borga; five children, Cheryl Alder (Joseph) Silverio, of Trafford, Kathleen (Henry) John-Alder, of Roosevelt, N.J., Patricia B. Suvari, of Portola Valley, Calif., Christopher (Lisa) Borga, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Maria Borga, of Washington D.C.; a sister, Lucy Schneider, of Russellton; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the HART FUNERAL HOME INC., Murrysville. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Les Martin officiating.
