Father John had a lovely sense of humor. When serving at Mother of Sorrows, Murrysville he utilized that gift well with our students during school masses in his enlightening homilies. Rest in peace fruitful servant.

My family knew Father John when he arrived at St Agnes and then at Immaculate Conception Church. A true servant of God - he lived the faith in every way. He took the time to acknowledge each person - most by name. A humble man who lived his love of the Lord every where he went - even the grocery store. God has welcomed home a good and faithful son Rest in peace - you will be truly missed

Fr. John will be remembered by many who adored him as a priest&friend. I had the pleasure as a young woman to observe him marry my aunt&uncle in law&he also baptized my youngest son&my grandaughter. He always made a parishioner(& those who attended mass who were not parishioners) feel blessed upon listening to his sermon&words to live by as he had a special way of making all feel welcomed&loved. Our parishes were blessed to have you Fr. John&you will forever be in our thoughts, prayers&memories. Thank you for all you have done&always putting a smile on ones face. You rest with the Lord now Fr. John...as you fought a courageous battle for years&still chose to welcome us with your presence even through your battle. God bless you&keep you in his loving grace. Sincerely&lovingly, The Colberts.... Jennifer, Chase, Cassidy, Caden&Hailie.
