Doris M. Faust

Doris Mae Faust, 90, of Elizabeth Township, died Sunday, March 19, 2017. She was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Greensburg, and was the daughter of the late George W. Detar Sr., and the late Josephine (Foltz) Detar. She was the wife of the late Warren Elton Faust, who died Jan. 2, 2017. Doris was a member of the First Evangelical Free Church in McKeesport. Doris was well known in the Mount Vernon area for her pies and ladylocks. She is survived by her children, Gary (Brenda ) Faust, of Rochester Hills, Mich., Terry (Rene) Faust and Nancy (Felix) Demolin, of Elizabeth Township, and James (Emily) Faust, of Clemson, S.C.; brother, Donald Detar, of California; grandchildren, Matthew Faust, Beth Dennison, Rebekah Hamilton, Kelli Davis, Jenna Anderson, Joshua Faust, Hannah Demolin, and Sierra and Quinn Brown-Faust; great-grandchildren, Jonah, Benjamin, Asher, Autumn, Ava, Elias, Brady, and Emery; and dozens of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Emma Jean Miller and L. Joan Faust; and brothers, George Detar Jr., John "Jack" Detar, C. James Detar, David Detar and Gerald Detar.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday March 21, 2017, at the GILBERT FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 6028 Smithfield St., Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000, Drew J. Gilbert, director. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, at the First Evangelical Free Church, 4001 University Drive, McKeesport. Pastor Kirk Albrecht will officiate. Private interment will be in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
