Robert Stringert

Robert "Rob" Stringert, of Woods Run, Bellevue, and Marshall Township, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017, in Fredericksburg, Va. He was the beloved father of Robert J. Stringert Jr. (Victoria Graham), Howard G. Stringert (Michelle), Janis S. Streich (Donald Melanson), and Jill S. Williams (Michael); loving grandfather of Jaclyn S. Presley (Jason), Graham J. Stringert, Elizabeth A. Streich, Colin D. Stringert, Owen M. Williams, and Ginny H.J. Williams; and great-grandfather of Marin V. Presley, Cora A. Presley, and Harrison G. Presley. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Mary M. Waronsky (Paul) and Lucille A. Stringert; and brother-in-law, Robert J. Graham (Anna Marie), and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the devoted husband of the late Virginia Graham Stringert (2011), and dedicated brother of the late Howard I. Stringert (2008), and late William H. Stringert (2014). Rob was a veteran of the Army/Korean War, and a founding officer of Stringert and Bowers Inc., in McKees Rocks. He is best known for contributing to Pittsburgh and its surrounding skyline.
Friends and family will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017, at SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, 7720 Perry Highway, where funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 18, followed by interment at Allegheny Memorial Park, Allison Park.
