Sandra Churik

1959 - 2025

Sandra Churik, 65, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born Dec. 1, 1959, she was the daughter of Ronald Molnor and the late Nancy Molnor. She graduated from Burrell High School and devoted her life to raising her son, Kevin, and caring for her husband, Byron. Of all her roles in life, being a mother was the one she cherished most she was deeply proud of Kevin and considered him her greatest accomplishment. Sandra was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her bubbly, warm, and full of sunshine. She had a special way of making people feel loved and celebrated, whether it was through shopping for the perfect gifts, her love of decorating for birthdays and holidays, or her enthusiasm for all things festive especially balloons. She found joy in the simple things time with family, the sparkle of a holiday, and the calming beauty of the beach and she made those around her feel that joy too. She was the beloved wife of the late Byron Churik; and a devoted mother to her son, Kevin, and his wife, Tiffany. She was a proud, loving grandmother to her "stinkers," Elijah and Kylie, who brought endless joy to her life. Sandra is also survived by her father, Ron Molnor (Karen); her sister, Chrissy Molnor; her niece, Chloe Werner; and her nephew, Joey Molnor. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Churik; beloved mother, Nancy Molnor; and her brother, Ronnie Molnor. Sandra's vibrant spirit and open heart touched many, and her love will continue to live on in the traditions she started and the family she cherished especially through her grandchildren, who will carry her warmth with them always. In keeping with her wishes, arrangements have been entrusted to FRANK F. GIGLER FUNERAL HOME INC., Robert P.
