William Joseph Wiegand, born March 23, 1958, passed away on Nov. 19, 2025, following a battle with leukemia. Bill lived in North Huntingdon with his wife and best friend, Bonnie (Replogle) Wiegand. After growing up in Lower Burrell, Bill pursued a successful career in retail while raising his two children. He then expanded his family to include Bonnie and her three children following their marriage in 1999, creating a blended family that would prove to grow in love and laughter for many years. Later in life, Bill followed a lifelong calling to serve in the ministry. He earned a Certificate of Pastoral Studies from DuBuque College in 2015 and served as the Pastor of the New Salem Presbyterian Church for the past eight and a half years. Despite his decision to pursue pastoral studies later in life, Bill committed his time to the church many years before. He served as a Youth Advisor and an Elder for the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin, and alongside Bonnie lead the church's Confirmation Class for several years. In addition, Bonnie and Bill completed the Walk to Emmaus and remained involved with the organization for many years. Bill also enjoyed spending time traveling with Bonnie, spoiling their grandchildren, and eliciting groans and chuckles with his infamous "dad" jokes. Bill is preceded in death by his mother, Anna Mae (Thomas) Swartz, his father, Robert Wiegand, his stepfather, Cecil Swartz, and his Uncle, Joseph Thomas. He is survived by his Aunt Mary (Joe) Czmerda, his wife Bonnie, and his children, Scott (Marisa James) Wiegand, Ashley (Michael) Rodgers, Brad (Jacque) Williams, Angela (Chris) Ramos, and Monica (James) Snyder, as well as 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. As one of six children, Bill is also survived by one sister, Rebecca (Gary) Allen, four brothers, Robert (Catherine) Wiegand, Thomas (Sharon) Wiegand, David (Sherry) Wiegand, and Richard Wiegand, several stepsiblings, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2025, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 and Luncheon at the church. In lieu of flowers, Bill's family asks for donations to New Salem Presbyterian Church, 27 S Mill St, New Salem, PA 15468, or the First Presbyterian Church of Irwin, 617 Main St, Irwin, PA 15642.
