Alexander F. Czaplicki Jr.

Alexander F. Czaplicki Jr., of New Sewickley Township, formerly of West View, died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Rita S. (Barus) Czaplicki; father of Diana M. Marks (Dale), Patricia A. Czaplicki-McChesney, Daniel A. Czaplicki (Karin), Cynthia J. Hall (David) and Alexander J. Czaplicki (Theresa); brother of Joseph Czaplicki and the late Sophie Balcerak and Pauline Opalanko; and is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Ferdinand Church. Alexander was a member of Knights of Columbus No. 3907, Our Lady of Olives and Past Grand Knight and worked for Conrail as an assistant general manager for 43 years.
