Angeline Oczypok

Angeline Oczypok, 88, of Clairton, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015. She was born Angeline Catherine Bernardo on Jan. 8, 1927, in Clairton, one of eight children of the late Ralphael and Concetta (Demis) Bernardo. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Clairton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Oczypok Sr.; sisters, Grace Curringa, Esther Mackinack, Mildred Bernardo, Nellie McFarland and Mary Carroll; and a brother, Vincent Bernardo. She is survived by three children, Paul (Maureen) Oczypok, of Moon Township, Mark (Rhonda) Oczypok, of Pleasant Hills, and Joseph (Loraine) Oczypok, of McCandless; eight grandchildren, Kate, Beth, Chris (Lauren), Annie, Sara, Matt, Meg and Derek; one brother, Anthony (Caroline) Bernardo; and many nieces and nephews. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Route 51 (Large), Jefferson Hills. There will be a prayer in the funeral home at 9 a.m. Saturday with Mass of Christian burial Celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park.
