Ann Yonek Obituary

Ann Bucko Yonek, 89, of Duquesne, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2011, at home. Born Sept. 18, 1922, in Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Hreno Bucko; and beloved wife of the late Paul A. Yonek. Ann was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, and a retired unit secretary at McKeesport Hospital. Mrs. Yonek is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Linda) Yonek, of Nottingham Township, and Robert Janet Yonek, of McCandless Township; a brother, John Buchko, of Florida; a sister, Alice Guerrieri, of North Braddock; two granddaughters, Lori (Peter) Stofko and Marla (Michael) Chickwa; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Buchko; and a sister, Elizabeth Golik. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the WILLIAM S. SKOVRANKO MEMORIAL HOME, Richford and Commonwealth Avenue, Duquesne. A blessing service at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the memorial home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, with the Rev. Joseph Grosko as celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, West Mifflin.
