Anna Goehring Elizabeth Anna "Ruth" Schwirian Goehring, 90, of Elizabeth, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at home. Ruth was born July 5, 1921, in Elizabeth Township, the oldest daughter of the late Walter Schwirian and Elizabeth Huszar Schwirian. Ruth was preceded by death of her husband, James C. Goehring; and her sisters, Lillian Davison and husband, Jack Davison, and Clara Cardini and her husband, Angelo Cardini. She and her late husband, James Goehring, have two daughters, Ruth Anne Lovett and Debra Sue Bellissimo; her beloved son-in law, Mark Bellissimo; her grandchildren, Emily and Jack Bellissimo; and granddogs, Hazel and Nacho, from Bridgeville. A very special and heartfelt thanks to her caregivers: Robin, Tracy, Melanie, Bobbie, Dr. Zuckerman and all the wonderful people from Family Hospice and to her extended family Nancy and Ross, Jane, Debbie and to all of her family, friends and neighbors that made sure that she knew that she was loved. Ruth graduated from Elizabeth High School and the Douglas School of Business. Before starting her family, Ruth was employed by RKO Pictures in Pittsburgh and in later years she was employed at Queen Elizabeth Shop for 15 years before her retirement. She was a member of the Elizabeth United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Fisher's of Men. Also, she was an active member of the Clairton AARP Chapter No. 1612, where she served on various committees. Ruth loved baking, cooking, painting, sewing, gardening, talking and spending time with her family and friends. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the PAUL E. BEKAVAC FUNERAL HOME, Elizabeth. Services will take place at 1 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Diane E.M. Gobbel officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
