Burtle Cubbison Obituary

Burtle L. Cubbison, 82, of Bethel Park died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. He was a World War II veteran who served in the 159th Engineers Combat Battalion Company C, fought in five campaigns of the Battle of the Bulge and received the Bronze Star, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign medal with six Bronze Stars. Beloved husband of Margaret (Hornyak) Cubbison. Father of Margaret (Richard) Puckett, Burt (Linda) Cubbison, Nancy (Dan) Makowski, Norman Cubbison, Mary Cubbison and Mark (Jane) Cubbison. Grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 12. Preceded in death by parents Burtle and Rhonda Jane (McManis) Cubbison and sisters Evelyn Dale, Edna Lippl and Idabelle McGregor. Family and friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the PAUL L. HENNEY MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 5570 Library Road, Bethel Park. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Valentine Church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Valentine Church, 2710 Ohio St., Bethel Park, PA 15102. www.henneyfuneralhome.com.
