Charles A. DiNardo

Charles A. DiNardo, 70, of McCandless, died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice, Wexford. Born on Sept. 24, 1936, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Carmine and Nicoletta DiNardo. Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Noe and Patsy DiNardo; and one sister, Fanny Pucciarelli. Charles was a man who loved his family and Italian heritage. His greatest passion was being with his wife, children, eight precious grandchildren and large extended family to whom he could never give enough. Charles also had countless friends. Born and raised in the Oakland neighborhood of Pittsburgh, he was proud of his roots and family business, DiNardo Construction. He later served as the general manager of the Pittsburgh division of New Jersey-based Spinello Construction Co. Charles had a passion for purchasing commercial real estate and participating in auctions. He was best known as a good humored soul. Charles was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Beloved husband for 45 years of Elizabeth M. DiNardo, whom he married on May 6, 1961. Loving father of Lisa M. (Troy) Rivetti, of Cranberry, and Charles A. (Ela) DiNardo, of Bethlehem. Brother of Steve DiNardo, of Scott. Dear grandfather of David, Joshua, Anthony, Domenic and Carli Rivetti, all of Cranberry, and Katie, Samantha and Luke DiNardo, all of Bethlehem. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. The DiNardo family will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME OF RICHLAND, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, 724-443-1505. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Catherine of Sweden Church, 2554 Wildwood Road, Hampton, with the Rev. Jeffrey T. Molnar as celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Savior Catholic Cemetery, Richland.
