Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016, at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME INC., 388 Center Ave., West View, PA 15229. Service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 325 Lowenhill Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15216.
He was a faithful member of South Hills Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. Please leave condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sorry I did not know sooner. I always will remember Uncle Dave's lovingkindness to our family and his caring heart which was as big and tall as he was. Such a godly man.
I know how hard it is loosing parents. We have had our share of loss lately.
Currently our family is needing some genetic history relating to any cancer in our family. If you feel comfortable contacting me, I would love to hear from you.

Our families live so far apart we never talk or visit. I do remember Uncle Dave well. A very kind & gentle man. I know you are all grounded in faith & God will see you through. Take care and know you are all in our prayers.
