Dr. Sciosia Jr. and Family

Your father delivered my son 28 years ago. His office was in Allegheny center. He is such a kind man with a bed side manner of your best friend. What a great doctor.

Now I have you as my doctor years later and it is such a pleasure because you have that same charm that you dad has.

May God comfort and blessing you and your family.

Chicago 1962 - Dr. Scioscia spent many hours trying to calm my horror regarding the pain involved in the impending birth of our first child. He seemed to be the only one who understood my fears...and then before our second child was born little more than a year later, Dr. Scioscia was gone...moved away.

Years later my husband's work brought us to Pittsburgh and while looking for a new OB/GYN, I found him once again and was able to introduce to him the 6'2" young man he had delivered 15 years before. What a delightful moment! Then, this good man moved away again. Sad.

But, what a surprise when we moved to Seabrook Island to find that name popping up again in the local phone book. I never tried to contact him, but was pleased to know that he was living nearby.

This morning my daughter-in-law called to tell me the news of Dr.Scioscia's passing. Our family is all saddened by the loss of this doctor who never knew that he was so well remembered by us all.

The opportunity for me to enjoy
Gino's company did not come about frequently, but when it did, the occasions were enjoyable and memorable.

Gino was a wonderful family man, a gifted professional, and a first class person. Our world does not have enough men like him; and it is truly regretable to lose one.

Scioscia Family:

Please except my deepest sympathy on your loss.

Just incase your do not know this little story. When my mother June Heukeshoven was about to give birth to my brother Gary on a snowy day in February 33 years ago, Dr. Scioscia put chains on his car tires in a hurry. Well, one came off and broke his axle. My mother was impressed that he still made it to the hospital in time that my brother's middle name is Eugene after your loved one.

Sincerely,

Billie
