Frank X. Kurkowski

Frank X. Kurkowski, 82, of Pittsburgh, passed away Monday, Oct. 29, 2012. He was the beloved husband of the late Dolores (Milligan) Kurkowski for 55 years; loving father of Darlene (Jay) Mallick, Susan (Rick) Myers, Frank Kurkowski, Patricia (Chris) Kurtz and Allen Kurkowski; proud grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of four; brother of Eleanor Black; and brother-in-law of Robert Renk, Marlene Duttine and Joanne Millian. Frank was a member of the Swiss Singers and St. George's Choir. He was happy to be "on-call" as the family's handyman and had a quick wit that could brighten anyone's day. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed family gatherings. He taught his children to enjoy life. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME INC., 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A celebration of life service will be held in his honor at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel. Interment to follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
